Starting with Alka bones, which are beef marrow bones wrapped in chicken breast from a local Tampa business. Cooked for 35 hours, these "babysitters" can keep a small dog busy for 2-3 hours. Once the bone is bare, owners can fill it with peanut butter or cream cheese, prolonging its use.
Himalayan Yak chews, made with lime juice and sea salt, is another dog-approved treat. As the chewed piece gets smaller, it can be soaked in water and microwaved to create a puff, turning it into a second treat.
