Lifelong New Mexico residents and Albuquerque locals Lucy Romero and Doug Wood are the franchise owners of the new Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming store. They are eager to provide customers and their pets with wholesome pet foods, quality products and full-service pet grooming in a welcoming, neighborhood setting.
“We love animals and we know that pets are a part of our families. It’s our goal to provide caring, personalized service to meet the individual needs of our customers and their furry family members,” said Lucy Romero. “We offer quality products and professional grooming to help keep pets healthy and happy. We are particularly excited to introduce our luxurious ‘paw spa’ offering an array of services and a cage-free waiting area.”
With extensive experience in the pet and brick-and-mortar sectors, Lucy and Doug bring expertise and commitment to the well-being of their furry clientele. Lucy previously owned and operated the first and only mobile dog treat truck in New Mexico, so expanding further into the pet industry was a natural fit. Lucy and Doug also are owners of a successful Anytime Fitness franchise.
Doug is a military veteran and retired law enforcement officer. Doug and Lucy are honored to offer a 10% discount on retail items to active military, veterans and law enforcement officers. The couple is passionate about being a positive force in the local community, including supporting several non-profit charities and animal rescue organizations.
They share a customer-focused business approach and enjoy meeting neighbors and their pets. Their own furry family includes a pug named Brady, a rescued Boston Terrier named Winston, and a rescued American Bulldog mix named Rex.
