We hope everyone can stop by and check out our newest neighborhood location,” said Greg Lard, Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Savannah franchise owner.
The grand opening event will feature giveaways and treat samples for pets as well as refreshments and a specialty beverage for pet parents, courtesy of event co-host Grand Lake Lodge & Spa.
“We are elated to partner with Savannah's exclusive pet store and ‘bridge the gap’ with Southbridge and Berwick communities in our mutual love of our four-legged family members,” said Tara O’Sullivan, Grand Lake Club general manager.
Donations to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Elvis Fund are encouraged and Woof Gang Bakery will match donations received during the event. Plus, all donors will be entered into a drawing to win free pet grooming and free treats courtesy of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Berwick.
Chatham County Sheriff John T. Wilcher, officers and canines from the sheriff’s office K-9 Unit will be on-site to meet guests.
“The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office is excited to be a part of Woof Gang Bakery’s Berwick grand opening and we are honored that they have chosen to make a contribution to the Sgt. Elvis Fund which helps us to pay for funeral costs for deceased law enforcement K-9s,” said Chatham County Sheriff John T. Wilcher.
“I played a role in the genesis of the K-9 Unit back in 1989 and Elvis, handled by Lt. Tony Derryberry, was our very first K-9, so this fund and that unit have a very special place in my heart. Woof Gang Bakery has been an extraordinary community partner and I am grateful for their commitment to our law enforcement community and in particular, our four-legged officers,” added Wilcher.
Joining five existing stores in Savannah, the new Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming location offers professional pet grooming and a wide selection of healthy pet foods, gourmet baked treats, toys, supplies and accessories.
